Types of braces
SmartClip SL3 Self-Ligating Braces are the modern choice in Orthodontics. They are computer designed to make your treatment more comfortable, save time, and give you the result you want-a beautiful new smile. Ordinary braces use “elastic bands” to secure an archwire into a slot in each bracket. This is called ligation. The bands can become stained or stretched-requiring your orthodontist to change them. They can also retain food pieces, making it more difficult for you to keep your braces clean. And, your orthodontist will have to take these bands off and on to change or adjust the wire during your treatment! Instead of bands, SmartClip uses small metal clips to hold the archwire into the bracket.
Clarity SL brackets still use the same technique as the metal braces, but are unlike any other braces available today. They are translucent, so they are less visible than metal braces. Unique design. Sleek good looks. First-rate comfort and excellent performance. Clarity SL are durable, translucent ceramic brackets with smooth, molded, comfortable edges. They also have potential for fewer and faster appointments.
The Invisalign system is a series of clear overlay templates called aligners that have been generated by computer simulation to gradually move the teeth. This system is available to adult patients and some teenagers. Ask us if you are a candidate for the Invisalign system.
