Dr. Lavonne Fore has been in the private practice of orthodontics since 1990. She loves the specialty of orthodontics because it makes such a difference in a person’s life. A new smile can give self-confidence and increased self-esteem. One of her greatest rewards is seeing her patients at the end of their treatment with a new smile. It is an exciting moment to see a crooked smile become a beautiful smile.
She was born and grew up in Sanford, North Carolina. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BS degree. Her dental degree is from the Medical College of Georgia. She earned a master’s degree in orthodontics from St. Louis University. Her proudest moment in dental school was being selected for the national dental honorary society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. This award is based on high academic achievements and demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism and ethical character.
She is active in the community being a past president of Quota International of Rome and the Floyd County Dental Society. Dr. Fore is a member and past board member of Rome Rotary. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Northwest District Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Association of Orthodontists and the College of Diplomats of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Fore achieved board certification in February, 2001
For fun, she exercises at lunch, loves to travel and collect all sort of “old” things. Her husband, Mack, is an attorney who works here in Rome. Dr. Fore is committed to continuing education and attends many courses and seminars in orthodontics. Board certification was an important milestone for her.
